Arqam Academy follows the Safar Curriculum, a trusted Islamic studies framework used in over 1,200 institutes worldwide. Designed for all ages, it offers a structured and engaging approach to Qur’an, Du’ā memorisation, Islamic studies, and Arabic, fostering both knowledge and spiritual growth rooted in authentic teachings.
Qur'an
At Arqam Academy, we prioritise accurate Qurʾān recitation, beginning with the foundational skill of reading Arabic. Students start with the alphabet and basic pronunciation through our carefully designed Qāʿidah curriculum, developed from years of teaching experience to combine traditional strengths with the needs of non-Arabic speakers. Each stage is taught with clarity and care, building confident, accurate readers.
Typically completed over two academic years, the Qāʿidah is followed by recitation of Juz ʿAmma, then the full Qurʾān, with advanced Tajwīd introduced and refined along the way. Graduates of our programme achieve a high standard of Tajwīd, uniting precision with beauty — a core part of our vision for Qurʾānic excellence
Islamic Studies
In this component of the curriculum, students are introduced to key areas of Islamic knowledge, taught from both a classical perspective and with a strong focus on contemporary relevance, to help connect timeless Islamic principles to the world around them. Subjects include:
Fiqh – Rules and practices guiding daily life
Aqīdah – Foundational beliefs of Islam
Sīrah – Life of the Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ and its relevance today
Islamic History – Lives of previous Prophets and key historical events
Ādāb – Manners and etiquette forming good character
Du'ā Memorisation
Students memorise Juz ʿAmma and essential duʿās each week through a structured system allowing up to three weeks per sūrah or duʿā. Transliteration is avoided, with direct engagement in Arabic ensuring accurate pronunciation and deeper connection to Allah’s words.
Memorisation is organised into peer-supported groups, from Sūrah al-Ḍuḥā to Sūrah al-Nās, with each sūrah individually assessed by a senior teacher. Progress is carefully tracked to maintain precision and consistency. Emphasis is placed on quality over quantity, building fluency and reverence in hifdh.
Our Learn by Heart Series further instils love for essential duʿās and sūrahs by highlighting their virtues and encouraging regular practice.
